Janet Clark graduated from Buena Vista College in 1988 with a degree in education. She taught for ten years, primarily working with disabled adults, before going to work as a journalist. She has published more than 300 articles and received several awards from the Iowa Press Women for her work.

Blind Faith is her first novel.

She has also worked as a waitress, nurse's aide, pharmacy technician, day care provider, field interviewer, and housecleaner, and once did a stint at a car wash as an interior cleaner.

Janet Clark lives with her husband Joe and their two dogs in Iowa. They have two adult children.
